Sallyanne Atkinson AO is a professional company director and former Lord Mayor of Brisbane. She began her director's career shortly after leaving City Hall in 1991 and took a three year break to become Australia's Senior Trade Commissioner to France, Belgium, Algeria,Tunia and Morocco.

Among Sallyanne's many achievements, she has received several awards including Officer of the Order of Australia and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Australian Catholic University, The University of Queensland and Griffith University. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Planning. Sallyanne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Queensland.
