NICK HOLDER

Director, L.E.K Sydney office.

Nick  joined L.E.K. in 1989, and after spending five years in L.E.K.’s London office, returned to Australia.

Nick heads up the local Private Equity practice and has undertaken a variety of relevant due diligence assignments. He also advises a number of retailing and trade distribution corporate clients.

Relevant assignments include:

- review of the long-term viability and role of New Zealand’s largest department store chain;
- strategic evaluation of an investment in the merger of two leading discount variety operators;
- review of strategic options and synergy value created by the merger of Australia’s two traditional department stores;
- development of the business plan and investment rationale for an in-bound investment in Australian discount variety; and
- various trade distribution strategies for corporate clients such as Wesfarmers, CSR and Fletcher Building

Nick’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (with Honors) from The University of Melbourne and an Master of Arts (Economics) from Cambridge University
