Virginia came to consult in corporate governance after being in legal practice for 18 years, working as a Senior Associate for Arthur Robinson & Hedderwicks before moving to Adelaide and becoming a partner of Finlaysons Lawyers. From her personal experience as a director and from her background of working in commercial law and in particular directors’ and officers’ and auditors’ liability, Virginia is acutely tuned to the need for directors to develop their skills to ensure that they are able to fulfil their duties and add value to the board and the company. She advises and facilitates directors in performing their roles of monitoring and supervising as well as setting the strategic direction of the company. Virginia is the Governance Advisor to The Le@rning Federation, a major Commonwealth and States’ initiative to deliver online curriculum to school.
