DR GEOFF KIEL FAICD

Dr Geoff Kiel has extensive experience as a director, management consultant and academic researcher. He has had an extensive career as a management consultant and has advised boards on strategy and governance in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and North America. Dr Kiel is the author of several books including ‘Boards that Work’ and ‘Board Director and CEO Evaluation’.

Dr Kiel was the founder and is Chairman of Effective Governance Pty Ltd, a Brisbane based management consultancy which specializes in governance and strategy consulting for clients. He was the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean, School of Business, at the University of Notre Dame Australia and prior to this appointment for many years he was Professor of Management and Head of the Graduate School of Management at the University of Queensland.

He is well known for his work in corporate governance, has facilitated many courses for the AICD and is an international conference speaker.
