Precis

Michael is a Senior Economist in the Financial Markets group and is responsible for communicating the bank’s views on trends in the Australian and International economies as well as the likely effect on interest rates and currencies.

Michael joined the Commonwealth Bank in 1992 after working in financial areas with the New South Wales Government and other corporations. He was also an investment analyst with the NSW Government’s superannuation investment group. Michael has lectured on topics related to financial markets in the Securities Institute of Australia courses. He has been actively involved in financial markets for 25 years.
