Regulation taskforce Reducing the regulatory burden of business
- Date:25 Nov 2005
- Type:Policy & Advocacy: Submission
The cost of regulation to business in Australia is immense. AICD is concerned that the Government needs to avoid knee-jerk policy responses, adopt plain English drafting of legislation, ensure uniform drafting between the Commonwealth and States, insert sunset clauses and avoid frequent law reform. This submission contains a list of possible reforms and more specific issues where it believes red tape impedes the efficient conduct of business.
