National Review into model Occupational Health and Safety Laws

AICD's answers to the specific questions posed by the review (see submission below) are underpinned by the following key principles:        

  • laws should be uniform
  • mutuality of obligation between employers and employees
  • burden of proof should not be reversed
  • no automatic liability for company directors and
  • reasonable reach of the law
