The axing of the Commercial Ready Grants by the new government is being met with dismay right across Australia, but perhaps its effect has been most largely felt right here in the nation’s capital. With a high percentage of participating businesses from the emerging technology, biotech and environmental sectors located in Canberra, it is no surprise that the decision has drawn much criticism. And the timing could not have been worse with the global credit crunch finding its ways to Australia’s shores.

In this informative and entertaining breakfast forum, a panel of experts will discuss the implications of closure of the grants program and present ideas for how best to source capital in these uncertain and changing times.
