Public Sector Governance Conference previous years highlights

In 2009 we hosted our inaugural Public Sector Governance conference. The conference focused on the structures, processes, cultures, and systems that engender the successful operation of organisations in achieving their stated objectives.

The 2010 Public Sector Governance Conference covered the following areas:

  • Senator The Hon. Penny Wong delivered her first public address following the election:
    • In her first formal speech as Finance Minister, Penny Wong has said that getting back to surplus by 2012-13 is “not negotiable'”.
    • Wong warned that she will take a hard line approach against funding new policies as the government prepares to frame next year's budget.
    • Wong’s address at the Company Directors conference followed recent speeches from Wayne Swan and Julia Gillard regarding the economy.
