2008 Christmas sundowner
TO MARS and the MOON - SPACE RACE 2020
It sounds like a scene from a science fiction movie: an outpost of humans living and working on the Moon. The sun provides them with energy. And there’s enough water to sustain an entire lunar colony and fuel several rocket trips to Mars.
According to CSIRO Scientist Dr Brent McInnes, the scenario is not only plausible but entirely possible. Winner of a 2007 Fulbright scholarship, Dr McInnes spent three months last year with NASA scientists at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland working on a new era of space exploration. |
