Creating better leaders through board education

Abstract:
Four leading organisations, among them some of Australia’s largest employers, are partnering with the Australian Institute of Company Directors in a new corporate leadership program, which aims to prepare senior executives for directorship roles and assist in building a diverse talent pool of board-ready executives.
Senior managers from Insurance Australia Group (IAG), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), The Westpac Group and Woolworths will participate in the first round of the Board Ready program– a nine-month, scenario-based education initiative which trains participants in the application of boardroom behaviours and practices.
