Director Advisory Services
The Director Advisory service offers members access to a panel of experienced and respected directors whose know-how and expertise can assist you with a specific issue or provide general support in a confidential forum. The panel comprises directors from a diverse range of backgrounds reflecting the diversity of our member base.
The service recognises the director role is a demanding one and provides a trusted source for members to turn to for assistance on challenging issues and decisions. The service focuses on peer support, rather than professional advice (i.e. legal or accounting); and encompasses many topic areas, both general and specific. Some recent themes include;
- Board relationships
- CEO remuneration and evaluation
- The multiplicity of director roles and conflicts of interest
- Reporting to the board
- Setting up an advisory board
The Director Advisory Service was launched in Queensland in May 2009 as a complimentary member benefit. The service compliments the support available from other member benefits including access to our Information and Research department, resources, templates, policy articles, podcasts and boardroom radio as well as the support available from our dedicated Member Relations team.
