AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES EXCHANGE CORPORATE GOVERNANCE COUNCIL

The ASX Corporate Governance Council was formed in August 2002 and brings together 21 business and other stakeholder groups. Its aim is to develop and deliver an industry-wide, supportable and supported framework for corporate governance which provides a practical guide for listed companies, their investors, the wider market and the Australian community. The AICD is a founding member of the ASX Corporate Governance Council. The Council’s Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations were released in their second edition in August 2007.
