GLOBAL DIRECTORS DEVELOPMENT NETWORK

The AICD is a founding member of the GDDC. The creation of the GDDC follows initiatives spearheaded by the Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF), a body established by the World Bank and the OECD. The GCGF seeks to identify national Directors' Institutes and Corporate Governance Associations world-wide to encourage the establishment of director training and professional support services. The GDDC aims to develop this further and provide the framework for co-operation and dialogue with regional representation from around the world. Other members of the circle include the Canadian, New Zealand , South African and UK institutes of directors and US National Association of Corporate Directors.
