GROUP OF 100 LIAISON GROUP

The AICD, the Business Council of Australia, CPA Australia, the Group of 100 and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia are members of this group which believes it is essential to ensure that Australia is adequately represented in International Accounting Standards Board forums and activities. The group sees this as the best means of maximizing Australia ’s participation in the international accounting standards setting and interpretation processes. The group also maintains it is important that Australia creates an environment in which high quality Australians are encouraged to nominate for appointment to IASB bodies including working groups and panels.
