Abstract: AICD's response to the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) consultative document to develop a policy on non financial business reporting (NFBR). AICD strongly  supports the concept of corporate social responsibility, directors take this issue very seriously, there are great difficulties in generating a "one size fits all" sustainability reporting framework, growth of voluntary disclosures in annual reports to shareholders should be encouraged and Australian companies already inlude NFBR within principles 3 and 7 of the ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations.
