Private Health Insurance Bill 2006

Policy & Advocacy: Submission

Letter to Tony Abbott, Minister for Health and Ageing, regarding the Private Health Insurance Bill 2006. Our chief concern is that the Bill alters the basicpremise of business in Australia by proposing that directors owe their duties to shareholders or the public rather than the corporation. It also goes against the recommendations made by CAMAC on personal liability for corporate fault.

A copy of AICD's submission to the Department of Health on the exposure draft of the Private Health Insurance Bill 2006 (Bill) was included with this submission. The submission can be found in the 2006 submissions.
