Innovation in a VUCA world

With global disruption in health and social structures, international supply chains and a surge in digital transformation, the COVID-19 pandemic has been the catalyst for innovation that would have traditionally taken years, if not decades, to unfold, to have occurred within weeks. With major shifts occurring in business and society, it is the board’s role to position their organisations for sustainability both during and beyond the crisis, and innovation has a critical role to play.

Innovation in a VUCA world offers tools and techniques to assist boards in in directing their business through highly uncertain times. By encouraging a more agile perspective towards strategy and risk in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world by creating an environment and culture to ensure the CEO and their leadership team can execute innovative strategy for growth in good times and survive while getting ready for tomorrow in challenging periods.

Innovation in a VUCA world is self-paced and delivered online as e-learning. It should take around 45 minutes to complete. As well as text content, the course includes videos from innovation expert and AICD faculty member Michael Lifson and interactive scenario questions.
