David has more than 30 years experience in Information Technology in the resources sector and has been Vice President, Chief Information Officer to Woodside Energy Ltd since joining the company in 2005.
After graduating from the University of Western Australia and a period of teaching, David relocated to Canberra to work for the Australian Government and complete further computing studies.
David commenced a career at Alcoa, the global Aluminium producer in 1980. During his time with Alcoa, David held a variety of technical and management roles. His final position with Alcoa was as the Australian Information Services Manager, responsible for the strategy and delivery of IT services to the various Alcoa businesses in the Australasian region.
As Woodside's Chief Information Officer, David is responsible for the development and implementation of the company wide Information and IT strategy.
