Discussion Paper: A Review of the Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting

The Australian Institute of Company Directors lodged a submission in response to the International Accounting Standards Board’s (IASB) Discussion Paper, A Review of the Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting on 14 January 2014.

Company Directors’ submission highlighted the importance of a sound conceptual framework, which forms the underlying foundation for the development of future accounting standards. Company Directors amongst other things encouraged the IASB to include within the revised Conceptual Framework, a definition and detailed conceptual discussion of going concern.
