Don't forget to review your copy of the Company Directors Conference 2003 brochure, included with this edition of Company Director.

We have confirmed several exciting new speakers in the past few months, one being Warwick Anderson, head of Biomedical Sci ences, Monash University. Professor Anderson will take part in Forum D, "Science in the 21st Century and what it means for business" , joining Paul Martin, deputy CEO, Proteome Systems and Dr Geoff Garrett, chief executive CSIRO.

Australia has a proud record on the more basic side of scientific research but so far has benefited little in commercial terms. Bringing science into the boardroom, Forum D will examine how government and industry can work together to create a climate to allow scientific research to be combined with commercial reality. Directors of today's companies are discovering the need to consider issues of security in far more serious light than in the past. Concurrent Forum F, "Business Disruptions: Cause and Effect" addresses the problems and risks faced by companies as a result of events such as terrorism, computer fraud and other crimes. How can companies protect against and mitigate the risk of crimes that impact on business? We have also added an additional concurrent forum to the program. Forum G, " Contemporary Moral Philosophy" , explores the changing geo-political forces shaping developed and emerging economies and how they impact on future business. If you have already registered for the conference and would like to alter your forum selection to Forum G, please contact Hoteliers International on 07 3210 1646.

Finally, we are delighted to welcome Macquarie Bank as a corporate partner. Macquarie Bank joins existing corporate partners Blake Dawson Waldron, Diners Club, Heidrick & Struggles, KPMG, Oracle and Qantas. Thank you to all our corporate and supporting partners for their support.

Earlybird registrations close on March 28--- if we haven't sold out before then. Places are limited, so if you really want to attend, register now to secure your place and your preferred forum and accommodation. Plus, register by March 28 and be in the draw to win a bottle of Penfold's Grange 1988, thanks to Heritage Fine Wines.
